When does coverage begin and end for the North America Explorer Travel Protection plan?
Under the North America Explorer Travel Protection plan,Trip Cancellation coverage begins at 12:01 a.m. the day after the required plan cost is received. Coverage for other benefits begins when you depart on your first travel arrangement and ends when your trip is completed, you reach your scheduled return date, or the trip is canceled, whichever occurs first.
Does the North America Explorer Travel Protection plan include coverage if my trip is delayed?
Yes, the North America Explorer Travel Protection plan covers trip delay. If your trip is delayed at least 24 consecutive hours due to a covered unforeseen reason, the North America Explorer Travel Protection Plan may reimburse eligible prepaid, non-refundable expenses and reasonable additional costs, up to $200 per day per person, with a maximum of $600, subject to plan terms and conditions.
What is covered under Ancillary Medical Evacuation?
Ancillary Medical Evacuation may cover transportation for dependent children to return home if you are hospitalized or unable to travel, and bedside visit transportation for one person if hospitalized for more than seven consecutive days. Coverage is subject to plan limits and conditions.
Who can travel to visit me if I am hospitalized?
If you are hospitalized for more than seven consecutive days and traveling alone, the plan may cover round-trip transportation for one person you choose to join you at your bedside, up to the maximum benefit amount.
Does the North America Explorer Travel Protection Plan cover emergency medical expenses for my pet while traveling?
Optional Pet Medical coverage under the North America Explorer Travel Protection plan may reimburse you if your pet suffers an injury or sickness during a covered trip that requires emergency treatment by a veterinarian, up to the maximum benefit amount. Coverage applies to pets accompanying you on the trip.
Are there any exclusions for Pet Kennel Expense?
Yes. The Pet Kennel Coverage does not apply to routine veterinary care, non-medically necessary services, intentional harm, pregnancy or birth, competitive events, or care provided by you, a family member, or traveling companion. Other general plan exclusions also apply.
